FARR CEO: Leana Olivier receives an award as: NPO category winner for the SACBW Western Cape Provincial Businesswoman of the Year competition The SACBW National
Businesswoman of the Year competition has been an institution since 1999. This
is the fourth year that the Cape Town branch’s winners will participate in the
national competition and the national winner will be announced on 1 September.
Christine Taylor, previous winner of the Corporate Category and current
chairperson of the Cape Town branch is confident that the Provincial winners are
strong candidates for the National Businesswomen of the Year award. “It is a
wonderful privilege to honour and acknowledge these phenomenal women, who each
within their own right and industry, have made a significant contribution. They
have all achieved success in the face of many obstacles and have been able to
live out the vision of the SACBW, which is unlocking potential”, states
Taylor. The
competition is only open to members of the SACBW and is aimed at acknowledging
extraordinary businesswomen who are true professionals and successful
entrepreneurs. The competition actively seeks to identify, acknowledge and
cultivate entrepreneurial, small business and professional practices in the
regions where they contribute to the local economy.
